The 2019 Improving Practice in OBGYN Annual Symposium once again has assembled a group of experts who will be speaking on a wide range of topics, including Cervical Cancer Screening, HPV Vaccination and Its Impact, Racial Disparities in Morbidity and Mortality, Evidence for Induction of Labor, the Application of Stereotactic Radiosurgery for GYN and Breast Malignancies and Reproductive Endocrine Infertility. As leaders in their field, their published work has led to practice changes which have improved patient care in obstetrics and gynecology. Lastly, the symposium agenda provides excellent education for the entire inter-professional care team in OBGYN. 

Target Audience: OBGYN specialists, midwives, specialty nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, residents and fellows



Objectives
At the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe the radiation therapy options available to treat GYN and breast malignancies
  2. Demonstrate proficiency in following pap smear screening guidelines
  3. Describe newer and innovative therapies for vaginal atrophy
  4. Analyze the medical literature for disparities in maternal morbidity and mortality
  5. Demonstrate knowledge of the practice changes being initiated with regards to colposcopy and the management of abnormal pap smears
  6. Analyze and apply the current literature recommendations regarding induction of labor at 39 weeks
  7. Relate current treatment options for women with endocrine abnormalities and infertility
