The Strategic Use of Music for Caregivers of People with Dementia

1. Know how music has helped other caregivers, and practical ways to use it in their own practice (learning what caregivers have found does and does not work when using music for care.
2. Understand the importance of and be able to teach caregivers how to make a meaningful musical playlist.

Cancellation Policies

By Us: It is the policy of NYU Winthrop Hospital, that in the unlikely event we must cancel a scheduled activity, all registered learners are immediately notified via email, with full refund offered where applicable. Wherever possible, our registration page of the website will be updated to reflect the activity cancellation. Social Worker Accreditation

NYU Winthrop Hospital, Office of Academic Affairs SW CPE is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of Continuing Education for licensed social workers #0319. Up to 1.5 CEU’s will be awarded. Participants must complete entire activity to receive credit, and no partial credit will be awarded.

NYU Winthrop Hospital is a New York State Education Department approved provider for physical therapy continuing education.NYU Winthrop Hospital designates this activity for a maximum of 1.5 contact hours.
