Increase awareness of potential factors/signs that a rape or sexual assault occurred, how to do an assessment for domestic violence and sexual assaults, learn interview techniques in helping to establish trust between the victim and care provider, provide info on available 

Objectives
At the end of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Recognize domestic violence, rape and sexual assault victims
  2. Understand the process for Rape and Sexual Assault medical examinations
  3. Understand emotional impact on victims and families (trauma) and how it has an impact on seeking assistance and/or pursuing legal options (making a police report, getting a SANE assessment, seeking an Order of Protection etc.)
  4. Be able to educate victims on legal options: doing a police report, SANE assessment, Order of Protection, etc.
  5. Learn about all options available to victims and have updated info on services available
